As a leading mechanical construction contractor we are involved in a number of large scale complex construction projects and are now looking to grow our team. To truly excel in this role you must have the ability to develop solid relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external clients to positively influence others and drive for results. You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, can proactively multi-task and manage multiple priorities. You exhibit strong leadership skills and have the potential to take the lead on projects, make timely decisions to achieve desired results. Based in Vaughan, ON, this opportunity will be for the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) redevelopment project located in Moosonee and Moose Factory Island REQUIRING travel rotations. As a Project Coordinator, Mechanical Construction , you will be asked to do the following: Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved. Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents. Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Groups T.I.M.E. efficiency program. Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades. Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes. Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines. Proactively identify and bring to managements attention potential problems and/or schedule delays. Must have flexibility to travel within Canada (up to 25% of the time for certain projects), travel rotation. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of three (3) years experience in mechanical construction; trade experience is an asset. You have related Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset. You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
