Youll lead a dynamic team and curate tailored itineraries involving regional ferry systems, cruises, and island-hopping experiences throughout British Columbia and beyond. This role is ideal for a seasoned travel professional with in-depth knowledge of coastal BC travel and a passion for helping clients explore stunning oceanfront destinations. Key Responsibilities Lead and expand the branchs maritime and coastal travel services, including ferry-based travel, Alaska cruises, and island adventures. Manage a team of travel advisors; provide coaching and training focused on marine travel products and ferry operations. Handle complex bookings for leisure groups, corporate clients, and high-value travelers seeking unique cruise-ferry combinations. Build and maintain partnerships with ferry companies, cruise lines, tour operators, and regional accommodations. Proactively monitor and respond to travel disruptions, weather changes, and service updates. Oversee marketing efforts that position Nanaimo as a launch point for coastal adventures and cruise departures. Ensure compliance with travel industry standards, privacy regulations, and internal company policies. Provide superior customer support and quickly resolve booking issues or itinerary changes. Participate in training programs, travel familiarization (FAM) trips, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the travel industry, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. Advanced understanding of BC Ferries systems, Vancouver Island routes, and cruise itineraries (especially Alaska departures). Skilled with booking platforms for cruises and ferries; able to manage group bookings and special travel arrangements. Strong team leadership, sales, and customer service skills. Post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, or a related field preferred. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to occasional meetings or events. Able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
