Vacancy Details Vacancy Number: 42309CG Job Title: Registered Technologist, RPT Status: Regular Part Time Department: Diagnostic Services Radiology Location: Welland Site Hours of Work: 0.6 FTE Posting Date: 29 January 2026 Closing Date: 13 February 2026 Union: Ontario Public Service Employees Union Wage Range: $36.840 to $50.240 per hour Position Objective Working to promote imaging excellence, quality patient/clientcentred care and high professional standards, the Registered Technologist (MRT) will be responsible for patient assessment, exam completion, documentation, and evaluation of images. The objective of the Registered Technologist is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice, and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism, and respect. This position will rotate between Welland and Port Colborne sites. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiology Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiology MRT Two years radiology experience in the past five years in a similar hospital setting Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment of diagnostic radiographs Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and interdisciplinary practice by meeting medical radiation practice standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario Previous experience in CT or General Radiography is required. Willingness to train and provide coverage in both modalities is expected; experience in both modalities is considered an asset Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving Working knowledge of hospital and diagnostic imaging information and imaging systems and other related computer systems Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick, paid holidays and call backs Consistent and regular attendance required Proficient in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset Questions, quoting the job posting number, may be directed to This position is an existing vacancy at Niagara Health.
