About the job As a Court Enforcement Officer, you will hold province-wide authority and may be required to work from multiple court locations within your region and neighbouring regions to meet operational needs. Key Responsibilities Execute writs, warrants and orders of the court ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations. Compile and receive goods and monetary amounts to satisfy judgment. Prepare reports and court documents. Attend evictions and related services. Act as Process Server by receiving documents to be served and by effecting personal service as ordered by the court. Required Qualifications Valid G drivers licence or equivalent recognized by the Province of Ontario. Proof required upon hiring. Interpret and apply enforcement procedures, relevant legislation and regulations. Understand functions of the Ontario court system, legal terminology and documentation. Acquire knowledge of investigative techniques. Ensure enforcement activities and related functions are in compliance with the law, rules and legislated timeframes; execute warrants, enforce judgments and orders. Analytical, decisionmaking and judgment skills to assess and recognize escalating situations. Organizational and planning skills to determine priorities. Interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with people in volatile situations and to provide clear explanations. Proficient with computer software to prepare reports and document activities. Mathematical skills to calculate interest, principal and costs incurred in enforcing a writ order. Additional Information Work weekends and/or occasional evening shifts. Frequent travel required. Complete training on selfdefense and tactical communications for ministry certification on use of selfdefense. May be required to work out of any location in Ontario based on operational needs.
