Providetechnical guidance, on-the-job training, and mentorship to other technicians, including apprentices and new hires. Ensure all work meets Cooper''s safety, quality, and compliance standards. Coordinate with the Branch Manager and Parts and Service Coordinator on workflow, parts ordering, and equipment readiness. Maintainaccurateservice records and documentation. Take the lead on challenging repairs as a senior technician. Foster a positive, collaborative shop environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement. Contribute to a professional and safe work environment; ensure physical facilities are kept clean and organized, and that company policies and procedures are followed. WhatYou''llBring to the Team Qualifications and Requirements: 6+ yearsofhands-on mechanical experience working on heavy-duty construction equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, off-highway trucks, etc.). Previousleadership or mentorship experience is an asset. Red Seal / Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T) is preferred (equivalent work experience will also be considered). Must have own tools. Physical stamina and ability to stand forlong periods.Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. Deepunderstanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.Must be confident with using technology. Valid Class 5/G driver''s license with clean or satisfactorydriver''sabstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You willbe requiredto provide a copy of your updated driver''s abstract upon request. Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong focus on following procedures and promoting a safe work environment. High degree of mechanical aptitude able to diagnose problems andidentifypractical fixes. Expertisein diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Leadership skills - able toeffectively train, guide and support apprentices and other technicians, contributing to a safe and positive work environment. Flexibility -must be comfortable with managing and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Strong communicationskills (verbal and written); able to interact professionally with customers and team members. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
