OPERATIONS MANAGER FORT McMURRAY Pitbull Energy Services is looking for a strong, experienced Operations Manager to lead all operations in the Fort McMurray region. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for field execution, day-to-day shop operations, people leadership, and client delivery across multiple service lines. You''ll report directly to the VP, Drilling & Completions and play a critical role in ensuring our Fort McMurray operations run safely, efficiently, and profitablyevery day. What You''ll Be Responsible For Operations & Execution Lead day-to-day field operations across all Pitbull service lines in the Fort McMurray area Own and oversee day-to-day Fort McMurray shop operations, including workflow coordination, staffing, and equipment readiness Approve daily field tickets to support accurate billing and client approval Maintain regular field presence to support crews, supervisors, and clients Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in line with client and regulatory requirements Leadership & People Lead, coach, and develop Field Supervisors and shop personnel Build strong, accountable teams with a focus on performance, safety, and retention Support workforce planning, training, and succession readiness Work closely with HR on hiring, performance management, and development Safety & Compliance Champion safety leadership and accountability across all Fort McMurray operations Ensure quality and completion of safety documentation (FLHAs, toolbox talks, competencies) Escalate and support incident investigations and corrective actions as required Fleet, Shop & Maintenance Coordination Work directly with the Manager, Maintenance & Repairs (Leduc) on all maintenance planning, tracking, and facilitation of repairs Coordinate day-to-day shop execution in Fort McMurray while aligning major repairs, inspections, and maintenance strategies with centralized maintenance leadership Ensure equipment downtime is minimized and operational priorities are supported through strong communication and coordination Business Development Support Support Business Development by providing operational input and field-level intelligence Identify opportunities for additional work and service expansion and relay them to the BD team What We''re Looking For Proven experience in operations leadership within oilfield, industrial, or heavy equipment services Strong experience and understanding of shop operations, equipment utilization, and maintenance coordination Proven experience in leading teams in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Demonstrated experience applying safety, employment, and human resources laws, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in an operational leadership role. Confident communicator who can work effectively with crews, clients, and senior leadership Willingness to be hands-on and present in the field and shop when it matters Pitbull Energy Services Inc.is a diversified field services company providing comprehensive solutions across Western Canada.
