The Role: We are seeking a Junior IT & Systems Administrator to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The Opportunity: You will handle the day to day IT fundamentals that keep our organization running smoothly across three cities. This role is all about the basics done really well: setting up laptops and iPads, troubleshooting tech issues, managing SharePoint sites and basic functionality, and making sure our team has what they need to work effectively. You''ll report to our IT & Systems Specialist who oversees tech stack, data integrity and insights for the entire company. This isn''t a role where you need to know everything. It''s a role where you need to care about helping people and be willing to learn the rest. Priorities for Your First 6 Months: In your first 30 days: You''ve met the team, understand our hardware setup, and handled your first support requests. You''re comfortable with our SharePoint structure and can help others navigate it. You''ve built a relationship with our external IT firm and know how to coordinate with them. In your first 90 days: Team members know you as the go-to person for hardware and basic IT issues. You''re independently managing device setups for new hires. You''ve organized our equipment inventory and SharePoint is cleaner. You''re catching issues before they become bigger problems. In your first 6 months: You''re proactively improving our IT processes and documentation Hardware and SharePoint issues are resolved quickly with minimal escalation You''re freeing up our IT & Systems Specialist to focus on strategic projects Teams across all three cities trust you to support their tech needs What You''ll Own: Hardware & Device Management: Set up new laptops, iPads, and other devices for new hires across Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. Tier 1 tech support: Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and coordinate repairs when needed. Manage device inventory and keep track of who has what equipment. Handle software installations and license management. SharePoint Support: Help organize and maintain SharePoint folder structures. Create new folders and set permissions for different teams. Train team members on how to use SharePoint for file storage and collaboration. Keep SharePoint tidy and make sure files are in the right places. IT Coordination & Support: For Tier 1 Tech support, coordinate with our external IT consultant, when required. Help troubleshoot basic technical issues (password resets, printer problems, software questions). Document common issues and solutions to make future requests easier.
