Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate construction, landscape maintenance and snow removal projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in horticulture or gardening, and hands-on experience in irrigation, construction, and landscape management. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure quality standards, and contribute to the beautification of outdoor spaces. The Lead Hand will play a crucial role in supervising daily operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to client specifications. Duties Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, including but not limited to, construction, hardscape, snow removal and gardening, irrigation, and horticultural tasks. Lead a team of workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality work, Labouring and lifting 50lbs regularly. Oversee the installation and repair of landscape features such as retianing walls, patios, fencing, decks and more Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations, especially during construction-related activities. Collaborate with clients and Strata managers to plan work schedules and project timelines. Provide training and mentorship. Maintain equipment and tools required for landscape projects, ensuring proper use and safety standards are met. Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields is an asset. Supervising or leadership experience in construction environments is highly desirable. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards. Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; includes lifting heavy equipment or materials as needed. Construction experience is a plus for overseeing installation projects. Valid driver''s license required for transportation between job sites.
