Accounting Manager - 6 months Employment Type Contract Location TORONTO, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Key Responsibilities Accounting Oversee fullcycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, payroll entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, monthend close, and general ledger maintenance across multiple entities (QuickBooks). Prepare monthly HST remittances and support tax filings, installments, and inquiries across multiple jurisdictions Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial schedules to ensure accurate reporting. Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper eliminations. Act as the primary contact for banking matters, including treasury movements, FX transactions, and reporting. Oversee invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and bank reconciliations. Maintain auditready financial records and coordinate with external accountants during yearend reviews or audits. Support the Controller with financial reporting packages and ensure data integrity across entities. Administration Maintain organized administrative systems and workflows that support accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency. Serve as a key point of coordination between senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners. Provide executive assistant support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements. Draft professional correspondence and manage digital and physical filing systems. Handle administrative tasks such as KYC requests, DocuSign management, shipping, and courier coordination. Oversee office operations, supplies, vendor relationships, and basic IT/office services liaison work TMGCT Job Requirements: Qualifications 10+ years of experience in a similar accounting/administration role. Strong experience with bookkeeping, AP/AR, HST filings, and monthly financial reporting. Experience preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and managing intercompany accounting across multiple entities and currencies. Administrative experience supporting senior leadership, including calendar and travel coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar) and multicurrency environments. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive, energetic attitude. Comfortable working in a less structured but highly professional environment. Ability to adapt quickly and support leadership and office operations as needed.
