The following position description is established by Flair Flexible Packaging Corporation (the ''Company'') to outline the basic requirements, duties, and responsibilities of the full-time position of Procurement Coordinator. Job Summary The position of Procurement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the tactical functions for assigned suppliers and supports strategic supplier relationships. Essential Duties The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Coordinator and should not be considered an all-inclusive list: Supports and manages the daily tactical details and issues that arise with suppliers. Processes purchase orders utilizing Company approved software. Works with Accounting to research and resolve invoice discrepancies & payment issues. Works with Data management team to ensure proper set up of Vendor Master Records/Updates/New Vendor Setup. Effectively communicates and works with suppliers, Customer Support Representatives, and Claims Manager to resolve invoice issues, vendor problems, poor quality of goods (damaged or returned goods), performance issues and ship date issues. Effectively communicates within the Flair internal team members to ensure requirements are met within purchase orders. Maintains good level of public relations with outside suppliers as well as a strong partnership with internal users Accurately enters, maintains, updates and participate in Company approved software improvements. Establishes adequate on-time delivery dates and coordinates ship dates with suppliers to ensure prompt delivery to meet production requirements and resolving any over shipments, shortages and cancellations of orders. Works with Data Management to enter price information from approved suppliers. 11. Performs job in an organized manner so that other Procurement Specialists can easily assume duties during an absence. Follows Flair SOPs as defined by manager. 12. Attends training sessions and comprehend training materials and subject matter. Understand and act in accordance with the company''s policies and standard operating procedures. 13. Demonstrates continuous effort to become more proficient in duties, improving operations, streamlining work processes and working cooperatively to provide quality customer support. Performs other duties, assignments or projects as required or assigned by Materials Planning Supervisor or Materials Planning Manager. Safety Responsibilities All Flair employees are required to be an active safety participant at Flair by: Attending required safety training sessions Reporting any accidents, near misses and safety concerns to a designated safety team leader, in a timely manner Following the Company''s work safety rules and procedures. Food Safety Responsibilities Employees shall maintain a good understanding of Flair''s food safety policies, GMP regulatory requirements and HACCP principles reflecting industry best practices, FSSC 22000 certification scheme, and relevant CTPAT minimum security criteria. Employees shall report food safety non-conformities to the responsible person(s). Responsible personnel shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions. Required Training, Experience, Licenses and Certifications In addition to performing satisfactorily all of the duties and responsibilities of the position, an individual in this position must possess and maintain the following knowledge, skills, qualifications and/or abilities: Bachelor''s degree in related field (Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management). years of prior procurement experience. Understanding of basic packaging industry is helpful. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform job functions. Multi-lingual in Korean desired Working Environment/Physical Requirements: The duties of this position generally involve sedentary office work. Moderate physical activity is required; Ability to lift up-to 10lbs on occasion; Ability to stand, walk, stoop/bend, lift, and frequent repetitive motion and use of hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and normal vision acuity. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions promptly and accurately. This position has frequent exposure to periods of high activity, interruptions and high stress under demanding and occasionally adversarial conditions. This position will be required to work periodic weekends or evenings. This position may travel as needed to company subsidiaries as well as to suppliers.
