Company Overview Lowlands Fire Food is opening a new location in Brooklin in February. We are an Ontario based, FeastON certified food service company operating full-service restaurants and food trucks for public and private events. We focus on scratch cooking, bold flavours, and delivering a consistent, high quality guest experience across all service formats. Location: Whitby ON, will be required to attend offsite catering events in one of our food trucks Summary We are looking to hire cooks to join our small but mighty team. We make all of our in-house recipes from scratch (organic sourdough, tomato sauce, white sauce, dipping sauce, fire grilled mushrooms, chicken, sausage etc.) using 65%+ locally farmed ingredients. Then use our wood-fired ovens to assemble and cook our pizzas and other menu offerings upon order. The cook position we are hiring for will be assisting in both food prep and service. Working with the chef and sous chef to help ensure we are making quality food on-time. Responsibilities In-house recipe prep. Food prep during service hours. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices. Keeping a clean work environment. Constant communication with team to ensure orders are getting to the right people on-time. Ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Requirements Experience as a cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service environment OR culinary education.
