Overview A compassionate RN will deliver safe, quality, patientcentered care in an acute care environment at Slave Lake Healthcare Centre. The role supports an integrated, holistic approach to patient health promotion and maintenance. Responsibilities Provide nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations ensuring safety and wellbeing. Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making to educate, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and families. Lead and support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. Provide safe, quality patient and familycentered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider (BCLSHCP) certification. If not practiced as RN within past five years, completion of CRNA Medication Management and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources certification prior to employment. Additional Required Qualifications At least 12 years of acute care or ER nursing experience in a rural environment. Connect Care experience. Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually and nonpensionable. Preferred Qualifications As Required. Compensation & Benefits Minimum hourly rate $43.26, maximum $59.21.
