Role Description This is a contract on-site role for an Addictions Counsellor located in Thamesville, ON. The Addictions Counsellor will be responsible for assessing clients'' needs, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling sessions on a virtual platform (Virtual Day Program). Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with other professionals in the treatment team, providing education to clients. The incumbent will offer a supportive and nonjudgmental environment to assist clients in their journey to recovery. Qualifications Counseling and therapeutic skills, including individual and group counseling and crisis intervention Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and interdisciplinary teams Effective documentation and record-keeping abilities Knowledge of addiction treatment methodologies and applications Familiarity with virtual platforms Ability to maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all interactions Relevant certifications or licenses in addiction counseling are an asset Familiarity with mental health and addiction-related community resources #J-18808-Ljbffr
