Claims Portfolio Analytics aims to provide insights to the Claims business unit to empower decision-making. CPA democratizes access to data and insights by providing tools to Claims leader and staff (dashboards, etc.) and supports (and teaches) data storytelling as well as data visualizations. CPA provides tactical consulting to Claims management on prioritization as well as project and Intervention planning, including goal/target evaluation/setting (financial and operational). This opportunity aims to strengthen the teams analytical capacity by supporting the production and automation of reports for key functions, including Quality Management and Client Engagement. The role involves preparing, validating, and updating recurring reports, diagnosing anomalies, and improving process efficiency. Successful candidate will contribute to the reliability of deliverables and the transition to modern visualization solutions while applying high standards of quality and documentation. This position offers tangible opportunities to create value through data workflow optimization and support for strategic decision-making. How You Will Create Impact Autonomously perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (ex: regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A/B testing, factor analysis). Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis. Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution to enable effective storytelling and descriptive/diagnostic analysis. Work on Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.) Extract, clean, reconcile and prepare the data required for the analysis. Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner. To Join Our Team You have 3-5 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or other relevant domain. You have a University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience. Experience with the following technologies is required: R, Python. Experience with the following technologies is an asset: Microsoft Power BI. ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset. You have experience solving standard problems by analyzing possible solutions by using our experience, judgment and precedent & challenging status quo. You have good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programing, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design. Salary Information Expected Salary range : $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
