Life is better for everyone when we work together What Youll Do Lead the installation of combustionintake ducts, exhaust frames, seals, and associated hardware according to engineering specifications Perform precise torquing and fitup of components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with tolerances Verify all labels, part numbers, and traveler documentation for accuracy before installation Manage kit activities, ensuring all components are staged, inspected, and ready for assembly Execute delta work, including: Prefitting small duct transitions onbay Cutting seals to length and prepping duct hardware Initiating and maintaining travelers for all assigned work, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability Ensuring precise alignment of intake and exhaust assemblies to meet downstream heavy lift requirements Conducting inprocess inspections and collaborating with QA to resolve discrepancies Applying sealants and verifying proper application using gauge tools and measurement instruments Safely operating cranes (510ton capacity), spreader bars, and tag lines for lifting and positioning components Utilizing specialized fixtures, alignment tools, and torque equipment to achieve precision assembly Maintaining and inspecting tools and equipment to ensure readiness and compliance with safety Acting as a handson leader, mentoring technicians on proper assembly techniques and safety practices Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to production schedules Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and implementing best practices Enforcing OHS and company safety standards, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures Conducting prelift safety checks and ensuring proper rigging practices during crane operations Reporting and documenting any safety incidents or near misses promptly Coordinating with Engineering for technical clarifications and design adjustments Working closely with QA to maintain compliance with specifications and standards Communicating with Operations and Supply Chain teams regarding material availability and workflow priorities What Youll Bring 5+ years in mechanical assembly or structural fabrication in heavy industrial environments 2+ years in a leadership or lead technician role Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing or related field Experience safely operating 510ton cranes, spreader bars, and tag lines Datum alignment and structural work for large assemblies Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and travelers Familiarity with S3 kit and S0M delta work processes Ability to coordinate with engineering and quality teams Experience with turbine packaging or power generation equipment Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for traveler initiation Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with repetitive tasks Ability to prioritize tasks to meet assembly deadlines and manage multiple kit activities simultaneously Ability to troubleshoot alignment or structural issues and make quick decisions under production constraints Strategic thinking with strong business and brand acumen A creative, detaildriven and solutionoriented mindset Integrity and presence consistent with XGroup''s leadership standards and core values Physical & Safety Requirements Participation in safety training programs, including hazard communication, emergency response, and travel safety Ensure all sales team members are trained onsitespecific safety protocols when visiting customer facilities or field operations Participate in any required drug and alcohol testing.
