Hiring Requirements We are hiring a Logistics Manager for our Trillium Distribution Center in Hamilton. The role plays a key leadership position in driving logistics and distribution activities, overseeing operations, managing execution and cost efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Logistics, this position will lead a diverse team, including seven salaried associates and approximately 75 hourly associates in unionized environments. The Logistics Manager will prioritize safety, demonstrate and drive supply chain excellence, and provide transformational leadership, contributing to Bimbo Canada''s ongoing modernization initiatives, including automation and enhanced WMS systems. By collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams particularly Field Sales, Planning, and Operations the Logistics Manager will lead change management efforts and inspire teams to achieve sustainable success across our integrated supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of multiple Distribution Centers and Bakeries, including receiving, storage, and shipping of products. Ensure order fulfillment accuracy and timely deliveries, addressing complaints or issues proactively. Set performance goals and monitor KPIs, implementing corrective actions for site and team when needed. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure continued compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, JHSC recommendations or MOL work orders, Company Safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices. Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support longterm business goals. Interact with key customers and support sales initiatives to ensure exceptional service delivery and alignment with customer needs. Review existing logistics processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase agility. Oversee the preparation of reports and analyses, track variances, and implement corrective actions to address operational challenges. Provide development, coaching, and progressive discipline to both salaried and hourly associates. Lead initiatives to improve supply chain performance, mentor team members in problemsolving techniques, and drive a culture of accountability and excellence. Experience & Education At least 35 years of experience as a Logistics Manager in a food or CPG, unionized environment. Postsecondary education or related field required; advanced training or certifications preferred. Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, and best practices. Proven ability to lead diverse teams in unionized and nonunionized environments. Flexibility to adapt to a 24hour, 7day operation schedule. Superior communication skills in a multicultural environment and ability to address frontline industrial relations issues. Experience working crossfunctionally with manufacturing, sales, and forecasting teams. Demonstrated success in translating strategic goals into actionable operational plans across distribution and warehousing operations. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, WMS, warehouse automation, Lean methodologies, and Agile practices. Goaldriven and focused on advancing initiatives, achieving targets, and fostering engagement through clear objectives and empowerment. Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. A resourceful, problemsolving mindset with a focus on delivering results. Thats the Bimbo Way. Salary The annual salary range for applicants is $85,000 $127,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level, among other factors.
