Marie, Corporate Office Hybrid, Corporate Kitchener or SSM Regular Full-time Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 Reports to: Director, Digital Operations The Role Full-stack Developer, Salesforce Specialist will be part of a small team of Software Developers dedicated to developing and enhancing capabilities that connect with in-house, cloud, and SaaS vendor ecosystems. Salesforce Specialists will provide technical expertise and act as a technical consultant with internal and external stakeholders on technical, security, compatibility, availability and other requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills to build secure, scalable, decoupled applications that can integrate with internal and external technology landscapes. As an emerging developer within the IT Team, this role will also work collaboratively with other IT teams, follow agile practices, and be a great team player. This role will significantly contribute to developing digital capabilities and demonstrate the best techniques necessary for successfully delivering features, stories, and tasks using agile practices. Responsibilities Develop highly available and responsive applications leveraging best of breed onprem, cloud, and SaaS capabilities across Banking, CRM, ECM and other domains. Bring technical expertise and contribute through sharing and collaborating with other team members. Handson code, collaborate with team members to develop highvolume lowlatency applications while delivering highavailability and performance. Build, optimize, and scale the service delivery platform and infrastructure. Contribute to establishing, updating, evangelizing, and advancing software development standards and practices. Participate in code reviews and design reviews to ensure compliance with development standards. Contribute to architectural diagrams, interface specifications, class structures, and other design documents. Participate and deliver small to mediumsize projects from initiation to completion. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices. Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science or similar discipline. Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years progressive experience in software development, digital/agile/product/devops, delivery, and leadership. Experience with SQL, relational databases, multitiered software development, and webbased software development. Good understanding of design, implementation, and operation of distributed webbased services and APIs (Application Programming Interface). Handson experience with Salesforce development tools including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs. Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, customization, and administration tasks such as user management, workflows, process builder, and security settings. Understanding of Salesforce data model, data migration, and data management best practices. Experience testing code using Mocha, Karma, Chai, Sinon, or Jasmine. Experience with implementing software in a variety of operating environments (UNIX, Linux, and Windows). Experience with Shell Scripting, Python/Bash an asset. Compensation Salary range : $65,000 - $76,000 The compensation offered to the successful applicant for this role will be determined by the candidates relevant skills and experience and internal equity.
