This position is open to all qualified ONA staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 29 January 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 5 February 2026. Duties And Responsibilities Responsibilities include: caring of the unconscious patient; working in sterile environment; and caring for and maintaining of specialized instruments. To use nursing process in providing patient care. To participate as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team. As an individual practitioner, to maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. To maintain nursing records-electronic and manual. To perform other related duties as assigned in the scrub and circulating role within many specialized services within an Operating Room. Qualifications Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing) Current B.C.L.S. Demonstrated commitment to maintain Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by CNO Significant recent experience in the Operating Room and successful completion of the Certified Operating Post Graduate Course Successfully completed Certified Operating Post Graduate course required Proven organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and teaching skills Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a reasonable length of time Proven ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations Proven ability to lift, turn and transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership/supervisory role Proven Knowledge of care and maintenance of specialized OR equipment CNA Perioperative Nursing Certification, preferred Knowledge of invasive monitoring, preferred Evidence of ongoing education preferred B.Sc.N., preferred Must have a satisfactory performance record Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health''s comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area At Lakeridge Health, we value inclusion and diversity.
