Job Overview The client is seeking a SCADA Engineer to independently maintain, enhance, and support Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems in support of Control Centre Operations and related business areas. This role provides technical expertise to manage and resolve client issues, ensuring reliable and efficient SCADA operations while contributing to the overall success of the team and business initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for SCADA production, including troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, application testing, and configuration changes. Collaborate with Control Centre staff to plan, organize, and implement upgrades to SCADA systems. Work with business teams such as Loss Management, Power and Margin, Infrastructure Optimization, and Control Systems to support SCADA-related requests. Coordinate with SCADA Integration and SCADA Support teams to ensure proper communication and transition of SCADA system changes. Oversee successful deployment and transition of applications and new instances of OASyS/Enterprise SCADA, PROCYS (RTAP), and Cygnet into operations. Assist with SCADA system commissioning activities. Provide 24/7 support for critical SCADA applications as part of an on-call rotation. Apply SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures to all activities. Communicate technical requirements clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Prepare and maintain documentation in accordance with client standards. Support the development and implementation of the SCADA Replacement Program. Promote team success and actively contribute to a collaborative work environment. Participate in the client''s Health and Safety program and ensure safe operations at all times. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. Working knowledge of SQL, C++, Java, and Visual Basic. Experience with process control systems and SCADA platforms (preferably OASyS/Enterprise SCADA). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and business areas. Working Environment and Relationships Primarily based in the Control Centre, providing SCADA support to operations personnel. Reports to the Supervisor, SCADA Services (SCADA Support). Works closely with internal teams including SCADA & Pipeline Modeling, IT, and Liquids Pipelines business areas. Engages with external vendors, consultants, and professional affiliations (e.g., CIPS, PMI, ASET, API).
