About AOMA Academy of Modern Art (AOMA) is a Vancouver-based art and academic education institution dedicated to helping students build strong academic foundations while preparing for competitive university pathways. Program Summary We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Part-Time Science Instructor to teach BC Curriculum Science (Grades 812). Teaching areas may include Physics, Chemistry, and/or Biology. Key Responsibilities Teach science courses in-person (preferred) and online in private and small-group formats Help students develop strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills Provide academic support for homework, tests, and exams Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to track homework completion and student progress Attend periodic meetings with the Head Instructor to ensure curriculum alignment Teach approximately 1020 hours per week, with flexible scheduling on weekdays after 4:00 PM and/or Saturdays Qualifications Minimum 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience in BC High School Science Ability to teach one or more of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology AP Science teaching experience is a strong asset Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Science or a related field BC Teaching Certificate is an asset Strong understanding of science curriculum learning outcomes Passion for education and working with youth Excellent communication and classroom management skills Strong English proficiency Organized, reliable, and professional Availability on weekdays after 4:00 PM or Saturdays Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check as required in British Columbia How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter, outlining your teaching background and preferred science subjects.
