Employment Opportunity The Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia is the regulatory body for Notaries Public in BC. The Society is currently seeking a person to join our team as the: Executive Assistant to the CEO This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the future of the professional regulation of Notaries Public in BC. The licensees of the Society are Notaries Public who provide nonadversarial legal services directly to the public. The Society regulates and acts in the public interest. This position is critical to the operational success of the Society and manages the daytoday activities of the organization. Were seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO to play a pivotal role supporting executive leadership, the board of directors, and key stakeholders for our smallsized nonprofit organization. What Youll Do Respond to requests for information from members and the public. Manage executive calendars, meetings, travel, and correspondence. Prepare board and committee meeting agendas; coordinate logistics, take minutes, and support annual events. Manage document libraries (SharePoint/OneDrive), and oversee board/committee schedules and documentation, maintain accurate records. Support internal/external communicationscreate presentations, reports, digital and print materials, and coordinate updates to member and public websites. Enter information and work with the member database. Assist with member administration, respond to inquiries, compile the Annual Report, and provide general administrative support as needed. What You Bring Strong computer skills and experience (Microsoft Office) The ability and initiative to think and act independently. Demonstrated experience managing records, writing minutes, and preparing PDF packages with links. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills; comfortable asking questions. Asset: Paralegal or legal assistant experience. Asset: Post secondary degree/diploma in business, law, marketing, communications, or a related field. Why Join Us?
