NHS GREATER GLASGOW & CLYDE CONSULTANT OTOLARYNGOLOGY POST WITH ADVANCED RHINOLOGY INTEREST Job responsibilities We are looking for candidates with a sub specialty interest in advanced rhinology surgery. Fellowship experience is preferred. Join the largest collaborative team of ENT Consultants in the UK within one of the largest state-of-the-art teaching hospitals in Europe delivering elective, emergency and outpatient services across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Following the centralisation of emergency receiving, inpatient services are based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Consultants participate in a 1 in 7 on-call rota. Offer surgical management of sinonasal disease as part of the existing rhinology team. The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis, with consideration for those wishing to work less than full time. Up to 2 EPAs may be available to undertake additional outpatient and/or procedure sessions or management activity. Additional Non DCC (up to 2 PAs in total) can be negotiated between the successful candidate and Management depending on service needs and time required to support professional activities. All newly qualified Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 Core SPA (includes CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, job planning and management meetings). A further SPA will be discussed for taking on a leadership/quality improvement role. Qualifications and opportunities Fellowship experience in advanced rhinology is encouraged. Participation in research and teaching is encouraged, with opportunities to develop this role within the department.
