Job Description

What is the opportunity? The Director, Employee Impact Strategy provides strategic oversight for the design, execution and management of new and existing best-in-class employee volunteer and giving programs, including the annual Celebration of Impact (employee giving) campaign. These initiatives aim to deeply engage RBC employees and retirees globally in RBC''''s Purpose-driven culture, drive meaningful community impact and reinforce RBCs position as an employer of choice. Note: This is a contract role. What will you do? Design and execute best-in-class employee impact programs aligned with RBC''''s Purpose Framework to enable employee contributions to communities and build employee skills through volunteerism Lead existing employee impact programs, including RBC Employee Volunteer Rewards, RBC Communities Together Fund (team volunteer program), RBC Social Impact Leadership Program, employee charitable board matching and myCommunity (Benevity platform) Leverage data insights to refine program strategies to improve employee experiences and drive engagement, measure impact and effectively manage program budgets and resources Drive the strategic, innovative and effective use of third-party suppliers to deliver and improve programs, including vendor relationship management Manage global employee impact budget and apply consistent governance to mitigate reputational risk Lead, coach and inspire the Employee Impact team, fostering a high-performance culture What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Bachelors or masters degree in a related field 10+ years of relevant experience, including employee impact and social impact Effective leadership and coaching skills with a proven ability to set clear priorities and delegate effectively Proven experience in leading fundraising initiatives and managing global campaigns Proven experience in leading the development of strategies and collaborating with a wide range of senior level stakeholders in a large organization Proficient in working with granting software, preferably Benevity Excellent stakeholder management skills Strong project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communications skills Innovative problem-solver Nice-to-have: Bilingual French and English CFRE Certification RBC institutional awareness, with a strong understanding about RBCs structure in Canada Familiarity with Jive /RBC Connect platform Relevant experience or education in corporate marketing, corporate communications, or sponsorship management We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
