This role is based in Oakville, Ontario; the salary range for this position is CAD $111,000.00 to $140,000.00 per annum, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, applicable market data, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities The Project Manager - Engineering, reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, leads and coordinates multiple complex projects within the Reactor Pilot Program and Fuel Line Pilot Facility, contributing to the design and development of IMSR technology. Key responsibilities include: Lead simultaneous project streams across the Reactor Pilot Program and Fuel Line Pilot Facility, ensuring alignment with IMSR development objectives Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple initiatives Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, safety, quality assurance, licensing and regulatory compliance Implement and maintain project management methodologies appropriate for nuclear technology development Track and report project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders Stakeholder & Risk Management Coordinate with internal engineering teams, R&D, procurement, and executive leadership to align pilot program objectives with organizational goals Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost targets Facilitate engagement with EPC contractors, coordinating design reviews, construction milestones, and commissioning activities Present project updates, technical findings, and resource requirements to governance committees and senior management Maintain relationships with procurement and supply chain teams to address material availability challenges Coordinate with Safety, Quality Assurance, and Licensing teams to ensure compliance for all pilot program activities Act as liaison between EPC contractors and internal technical teams during facility construction and commissioning Risk & Quality Management Develop and maintain risk registers for managed projects Ensure adherence to nuclear quality assurance programs and safety protocols Lead root cause analyses and corrective action implementation as needed Core Competencies Project Management: lead cross-functional teams, oversee life cycles, and deliver on time and within budget Communication: transfer complex technical information clearly to engineers, executives, and clients Critical Thinking: develop innovative solutions and data-driven decisions Multitasking: manage concurrent tasks across projects Leadership: foster a collaborative, high-performance culture Planning and Organizing: schedule and allocate resources to meet milestones and budgets Problem Solving: diagnose issues and implement corrective actions Results Orientation: drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement Team Player: collaborate across functions Flexible and Adaptable to Change: adjust plans in dynamic environments Requirements Bachelor''''s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (Master''''s degree preferred) Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience in complex technical environments At least 3 years in the nuclear industry or a comparable highly regulated sector Proven track record managing projects with budgets exceeding $5M Strong understanding of nuclear reactor systems and fuel cycle processes Familiarity with nuclear regulatory frameworks (DOE, NRC, CNSC, or international equivalents) Strong interpersonal skills to liaise and build relationships across all levels Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Visio High computer proficiency and adaptability to new software tools Ability to identify root causes and devise resolution strategies for complex challenges Flexibility to adapt plans and priorities as deadlines and needs change Excellent written and verbal communication skills Assets Exceptional multitasking ability to manage competing goals and deadlines Knowledge or experience in nuclear or large-scale power projects and safety practices Experience presenting project status to executives and driving informed decisions Benefits Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision) with Health Spending Account Vacation policy designed for work-life balance EAP programs for employees and families Wellness Subsidy Annual Performance Review Paid United Way Volunteer Days Career development opportunities Please include a Cover Letter in addition to your resume.
