This position is effective June 29, 2026, and ends on or about August 7, 2026. Hiring for this position will take place on an ongoing basis (between February and June), determined by system needs. Please watch our recruitment to learn more about the position. All operate from June 29 to August 7, 2026. The hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. All staff must attend a mandatory training day, Saturday June 6, 2026. The SI Site locations are: Ellen Fairclough PS (Markham) Jersey PS (Keswick) Maple Leaf PS (Newmarket) Oscar Peterson P.S. (Stouffville) Regency Acres (Aurora) Sixteenth Avenue PS (Richmond Hill) Teston Village PS (Maple) Wilclay PS (Markham) Woodbridge PS (Woodbridge) Age: 14 to 17 years old (and returning to Secondary School in September 2026) Major Responsibilities To support the delivery of Summer Institute programs under the direction of the Summer Institute Principal and Summer Institute Program Leaders To assist with the supervision of all participants during program hours To demonstrate positive leadership qualities To actively participate in the daily operation of the Summer Institute and special activities associated with it To contribute to the staff team environment To attend a mandatory Summer Institute training day in June Other duties as assigned Application Process To register and apply for a job posting, you must complete all four (4) steps : Visit our site and either log into your account or create an account if you do not have one.
