The Building Operations Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The Building Technician serves as a technical resource to support Amazon within its data centers. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. Building Technician''s are also tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities. Building Technician''s are Amazon''s front line respondents for electrical and mechanical issued affecting Amazon''s availability. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, switchboards/switch-gears, UPS''s, PDU''s, AHU''s, CRAHUs, CRAC''s, pumps, motors, VFD''s, and building automation systems. This position requires that the candidate selected obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada. The earliest expected start date for this position will be in the third quarter of 2022. Amazon recrute actuellement un technicien de btiment pour rejoindre l''quipe d''exploitation de nos centres de donnes. Le technicien principal (TP) est charg de veiller ce que tous les quipements lectriques, mcaniques et de scurit incendie du centre de donnes fonctionnent leur niveau maximum d''efficacit. Ceci implique un entretien prventif planifi de l''quipement, des travaux correctifs quotidiens et des interventions d''urgence. Ces points doivent tre au centre de toutes les oprations d''installation au sein d''un centre de donnes donn. Le TP gre les projets de petite et moyenne envergure, de la conception l''achvement, obtient et suit les devis pour tous les cots ncessaires et documente les rsultats des projets en vue de leur mise en uvre future dans d''autres installations. Le TP soutient les techniciens des oprations d''ingnierie et tout fournisseur tiers en leur offrant son aide pour le fonctionnement et des dpannages d''quipements lectriques et mcaniques sur le terrain. Ces quipements comprennent, sans s''y limiter, les gnratrices diesel de secours, les appareils de commutation, les alimentations sans interruption (ASI), les units de distribution d''alimentation (PDU), les units de traitement d''air (AHU), les tours de refroidissement, les systmes de traitement chimique, les pompes, les moteurs, les variateurs de frquence (VFD) et les systmes immotiques. Cette quipe travaille dans un environnement qui fonctionne 24/24 et 7 /7. Ce poste exige que le candidat slectionn obtienne et conserve une cote de scurit active du statut de fiabilit auprs du gouvernement du Canada.
