Location: Sherwood Park, AlbertaWork arrangement: In-office, 5 days per week Responsibilities Collaborate with the region to ensure all site/divisional finance and administrative processes and people are in place and functioning effectively. Interpret client contracts and translate them into financial processes. Communicate financial information to nonfinancial peers. Ensure daytoday accounting functions (billings, collections, accounts payable, time collection, etc.) operate accurately. Ensure monthly closings are timely and accurate. Review, adjust, implement, and train financial administrative processes. Provide personnel management support to the regions financial and administrative positions. Coach and develop financial and administrative personnel. Maintain a high level of professional communication. Requirements Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of financial management experience in a related industry. Understanding of and adherence to contractual obligations. Competence in manual and automated accounting control systems. Thorough understanding of organizational and regional priorities and the necessary financial program supports. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong leadership and managerial experience (asset). Effective teamwork skills and ability to develop productive working relationships. Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting and auditing principles. High proficiency in MS Excel, MAS, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
