This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA). The successful candidate will be offered a tenured or tenuretrack appointment with the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, in accordance with the University of Alberta Academic Faculty Member Agreements. The anticipated start date is July1, 2026. Responsibilities Teach accounting courses in undergraduate and graduate programs. Conduct and publish research in toptier accounting journals. Provide service to the Schools academic activities. Play an active role in the success and development of the PhD program. Qualifications PhD in an accounting field (or close to completion). Demonstrated potential to publish toplevel research and achieve teaching excellence. Excellent record or strong potential for publication in top (FT) accounting journals. Empirical capability to conduct archival or behavioural research. Evidence of teaching excellence. Proficiency in English. CPA certificate or general managerial experience is an asset. Consideration will be given to applicants who: Have demonstrated the impact of their research. Show established teaching skills. Have a record of service at the departmental, institutional, national, and/or international levels. Have a proven track record ofor interest ininstitution building and service, in addition to exceptional scholarship in accounting.
