We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our commercial Real Estate department and invite you to review the job description. Duties & Responsibilities Document Review and Preparation: Review Credit Agreements and real estate contracts and provide feedback to lawyers on next steps and outstanding information; Conduct and analyze various due diligence searches and prepare Due Diligence reports; Prepare Critical Dates Summaries and closing agendas; and Draft correspondence, loan documents and purchase/sale documents, including Statements of Adjustments. Technology: Must be proficient with Spin II (Land Titles); Accreditation with Personal Property Registry is desirable; and Adept at editing and organizing files using PDF tools. Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail to identify errors and prevent liability; Anticipate next steps and identify potential hurdles; Ability to think critically and problem-solve with minimal instruction; Strong written and verbal skills; Strong organizational skills to handle multiple transactions simultaneously, prioritize tasks and ensure compliance with strict deadlines; Maintain professionalism and courtesy under adverse and high-pressure circumstances; Adaptable to varying working styles amongst multiple lawyers; and Maintain accurate tracking and ensure follow up where required. Knowledge, Qualities & Experience Required Minimum of 5 years'' experience in Real Estate; Formal Paralegal education and training preferred; Familiarity with document generation; Knowledge of Land Title & Survey Authority Policy and Procedures; Extensive knowledge of legal procedures is required; Must be capable of interpreting instructions, preparing required documentation and correspondence, and generally following files through to completion; Must be accurate and detail-oriented, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative required; Dedicated to providing quality service to clients and consistently meet expectations by providing service beyond expectation; Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse group of individuals; Strong ability to manage multiple internal clients and remain productive within a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment; Excellent organizational and time management abilities required; Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize and deliver creative solutions; and Ability to multitask, establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
