1st shift Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (Some flexibility may be needed) Location: Brantford, ON General Summary The Office Clerk performs clerical work requiring the application of various work methods, procedures, functions, policies, and practices. This role provides essential support duties to the organization as needed. Primary Responsibilities Receive, classify, and route incoming mail; calculate, prepare, and mail bills for documents or services. Check, analyze, and classify/alphabetize materials; conduct limited research when necessary. Index records and information; post data to departmental records and maintain filing systems. Prepare reports involving tabulations, posted data, and simple calculations. Receive and issue receipts for payments related to licenses, permits, certificates, bonds, and services. Issue licenses, permits, certificates, legal documents, and/or titles in accordance with departmental regulations. Serve as a backup receptionist; provide administrative support including document copying and supply management. Conduct limited research of records for required information. Perform payroll duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience. Ability to operate office machines such as typewriter, adding machine, calculator, and copier. Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service oriented. Strong team player. If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, functional French (written and spoken) is required.
