Title Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist Full-Time Contract opportunities available! Department Vocational Services Reports to Program Manager Location Fort McMurray - Lifemark Vocational Services About the role Lifemark Health Group is seeking Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists to join our team on a Full-Time, Part-Time or Contract basis. The Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist will work in collaboration with the referral source to provide Employment Planning Services to clients. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients through assisting unemployed individuals in developing employment plans. As Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will provide coaching and support to job seekers returning to the workforce. In collaboration with the team, you will assist in individualized job search support services, job placement services and workshop delivery. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct transferrable skills assessments, vocational evaluations and job search training for clients who are seeking to re-enter the workforce in an alternate occupation. Duties/Responsibilities Facilitate delivery of workshops and training in-person and online Conduct vocational assessments with participants to determine employment history, transferrable skills, education and past work or volunteer experience Assess and enhance job readiness by identifying challenges, employment barriers and assistance they may need to gain meaningful employment Support participants in completing resumes and cover letters and preparing for job interviews Prepare participants for active job search activities Provide group and 1:1 feedback and coaching the areas of resume writing, cover letter and job interview preparation Monitor and maintain participant files Assist with content development, updates and improvements Complete tracking and reporting in accordance with current templates, guides, standards and processes Minimum Qualifications Completion of University or technical training in a related field or equivalent experience or combination of experience and education 1-3 years of experience with facilitating or instructing a group both virtually and in-person Experience delivering career and employment services workshops to job seekers Excellent written and oral communication Sensitivity to learning limitations that may be present with participants Intermediate to advanced computer skills Comfortable with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter as well as key job search sites including Glassdoor, Indeed and CareerBuilder for job searching and applications Ability to lesson plan for multiple levels of learning across various ages and abilities Teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to change tasks quickly and seamlessly Strong understanding of the local labour market An excellent understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity Security/background check is required Inclusion We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
