Overview Fraser Health is seeking physicians interested in working in our hospital medicine program at Eagle Ridge Hospital. Applicants should have a strong interest in acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter-professional team, including other physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Allied Health staff. Responsibilities Admissions and management of patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP), as well as supportive care for some surgical and specialty medical patients. Work independently with mostly off-site specialty support by phone. Contribute to a collaborative, inter-professional, team-based care culture. Be proficient with community resources and work with community-based physicians to optimize discharge planning and patient care planning. Day and evening shifts are 7 days consecutively. Participation in overnight coverage is mandatory, with frequency proportional to weeks worked. Eligibility & Qualifications Hospitalist experience, fellowship, and/or membership in professional hospital medicine societies. Rural medicine experience is an asset. Experience in rural medicine is an asset.
