Who are we? WAAS Aerospace Inc. has been in operation since 2014 and is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO). We operate from facilities located on the South Shore of Montreal at MET Montreal Metropolitan Airport (CYHU) and in Quebec City at Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB). We provide scheduled and line maintenance services, avionics modifications, and research and development services for business aircraft and large carriers. We offer 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) services to help customers meet their on-time departure obligations and minimize downtime. Role and context The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying piston-engine aircraft in accordance with safety and airworthiness standards. The engineer ensures that all work is performed in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, manufacturer requirements, and the companys internal procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical inspections as per the maintenance program Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements Document completed work in accordance with established procedures Apply relevant service bulletins and airworthiness directives Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues Comply with safety and workplace environmental guidelines Work closely with fellow technicians and supervisors Maintain up-to-date technical and regulatory knowledge Use manual and specialized tools properly Contribute to the companys safety culture Key competencies Mechanical precision Personal discipline Autonomy Teamwork Attention to quality workmanship Specific Job Requirements AME license Category M #J-18808-Ljbffr
