Our operations are expanding in 2026, and we are hiring Geotechnicians to join our field team. Join us on a 36 month contract, with a chance to stay longer Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Project Geologists or Project Geologist in site. Job duties in general may include all facets of mineral exploration work in Canadian or international projects. The main duties are to assist the geologists with diamond drill core logging or field mapping. Helping orient the core, write meter marks, structural measurements, or other means of data collection required by the project, as well as organizing and batching samples, moving core boxes that may weigh up to 50 lbs, and cutting core. Key Responsibilities Work with exploration project team to conduct exploration activities including but not limited to assisting the geologists with core logging or field mapping. Spinning drill core to align the foliation, writing meter marks and box end information, recording recovery, RQD, and jointing information. Drawing orientation lines for oriented core and recording orientation information. Describing structures and recording structural measurements by hand and with REFLEX EZ-logger. Moving and storing core boxes that may weigh up to 50 lbs. Batching and organizing rock and core samples for shipment to assay labs. Demonstrate active leadership in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring that all exploration activities are conducted in accordance with Health and Safety Policies. Helping cut drill core as needed. Other duties as reasonably assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Completion of Geotechnical diploma or enrollment in a Geology or Earth Science B.Sc is an asset Practical field experience in a similar exploration role is an asset Legally entitled to work in Canada Valid Class 5 Driver''s License is a MUST Computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience with logging programs such as MX Deposit and AcQuire is an asset Demonstrable ability to operate within a rapidly changing, high-demand work environment and re-prioritize tasks as directed by exploration program needs. Detail oriented with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Outstanding communication and time management skills. Ability to work in challenging physical environments in all weather conditions. Ability to safely lift and carry core boxes and other objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to work and live in a remote camp setting for extended time periods. The role is a fly-in/fly-out position, working on rotational schedule of 2-5 weeks on and 1 - 2 weeks off Familiarity with work around helicopters, ATVs, side-by-side, snow machines is an asset. Understanding the project''s start and end dates are often hard to determine due to seasonal weather conditions.
