Job Description Centre Manager Reporting to the Director of Institutions and Centre Management Committee, the Centre Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of the day-to-day functions of MAC Islamic Centre in Edmonton, as well as MAC Islamic Centre Cold Lake. Duties and Responsibilities Develop annual strategic plan and budget for the Centre, implement the plan and report on its progress to the Director of Institutions and Centre Management Committee on monthly basis Implement the organization''s strategies through the Centre and ensure National objectives are met Plan and administer regular programming and special events for the Centre; responsible for the creation of procedures for the day-to-day operations and activities of the Centre Oversee all Centre expenditures and revenues; prepare and submit monthly financial report to Head Office Coordinate tasks with Centre committee and subcommittees Recruit staff and volunteers as required by coordinating with Head Office and per MAC policy Implement the organization''s rules and policies in the Centre Supervise and oversee work of the Imam and all other employees and contractors of the Centre, perform their annual evaluation, and prepare and submit the evaluation to the Director of Institutions and Centre Management Committee Represent the Centre in dealing with the community and the government Maintain all official records and documents, and ensure compliance with government regulations In coordination with Head Office, manage the Centre''s website and maintain online presence, including the various forms of social media Provide overall direction in fundraising; participate in fundraising activities by travelling overseas, writing solicitation letter, coordinating events, public speaking, working with donors, and stimulating activities of others in direct fundraising May represent the Centre in specific cases only when delegated by the Director of Institutions and Centre Management Committee Attend the Centre Management Committee meetings as non-voting member Prepare reports as requested by the MAC Institutions Director Property Management for Commercial Tenants: Oversee the day-to-day management of commercial tenants within the centre''s property, including lease administration, rent collection, maintenance coordination, tenant relations, and ensuring compliance with lease terms and organizational policies. Regional Oversight Cold Lake Centre: Provide region-level operational oversight and support for the Cold Lake Centre, acting as the primary liaison between the local team and head office, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, facilitating resource coordination, and supporting strategic initiatives across the region. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university, or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Self motivated, hard working and dedicated Strong interpersonal skills; proven personnel management skills; able to involve members of the community in public activities and projects Experience in management of non-profit projects in North American or a Western country Knowledge of basic budget preparation and finance Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective public relations Team oriented and seeks advice from others Strong interest and enthusiasm for MAC''s vision
