This role contributes to workforce capability-building by developing curriculum, delivering training, monitoring effectiveness, and supporting leadership and management development initiatives. The Specialist operates as an experienced contributor within a defined discipline, with a strong understanding of related functional areas. This role may act as a subject-matter resource, contribute to solution design for complex initiatives, and support the execution of short- to medium-term departmental strategies. Key Responsibilities Training & Development Delivery Develop training curricula and materials for both general workforce and discipline-specific audiences Select appropriate training delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, virtual, blended learning) Deliver training sessions and monitor training effectiveness through feedback and performance indicators Discipline / Technical Training Deliver discipline-specific professional and process training (e.g., Finance training on accounting standards, internal systems, and control processes) Support discipline-specific competency development (e.g., influence and negotiation training for Sales teams) Non-Technical & Workplace Training Deliver training on general workplace standards, processes, and tools (e.g., Supervisor Training, Employee Time Entry, Email systems) Facilitate training on core professional skills such as: Verbal and written communication Time management Basic spreadsheet and document creation Support leadership and management development training initiatives Program & Stakeholder Support Support the development of new solutions for training programs, complex projects, or process improvements May select, coordinate, or oversee external vendors for training content development or delivery Act as a subject-matter resource within the area of expertise; coach, mentor, and support others as required Operational & Team Leadership Support Support the implementation of short- to medium-term initiatives aligned with departmental strategy Ensure policies, processes, and standards are followed to support tactical objectives May support or lead Specialists within the function, contributing to employee development and knowledge transfer Qualifications & Experience Experienced Specialist within a defined discipline, with working knowledge of related functional areas Demonstrated ability to contribute to solution design for programs, projects, or process improvements Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to operate in a structured, fast-paced environment while supporting multiple initiatives Role Details Role Type: Internship (6 months) Compensation: $50,000 $60,000 Work Setup: Onsite, 75 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto, ON Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Target Start Date: ASAP Be One of Our People: It is our mission to always provide an environment where our employees feel valued, inspired, and supported, so that they can bring their best selves to work every day.
