Hours of work: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily Monday to Friday, and/or 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. shifts Sunday to Friday. Rate of Pay: $34.51 per hour (Rate in effect April 1, 2026) The start date will follow the selection process. Characteristic Duties: Under the general supervision of the Citywide Superintendent or Designate. Oversee a crew engaged in line painting operations. Apply traffic markings as required using hand operated equipment or manual methods. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of line painting equipment and prepare paints. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS''s Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education. Minimum three (3) years of directly related experience. Capable of overseeing a line painting crew. Proven ability to operate efficiently as a Line Painter. Able to read and follow manufacturers instructions manuals for materials, equipment operation and general maintenance. Able to effectively complete C.M.M.S. crew cards. Able to read and understand plans used in line painting. Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing. Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history. May require the use of a CGS vehicle on CCS business. Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid Class ''DZ'' driver''s licence and have an acceptable driving record.
