Department: Security Availability: Monday to Sunday, various operational hours and holidays Position Type: Seasonal Reports To: Security Supervisor Purpose The Security Attendant plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests and team members. This position is responsible for supporting daily security operations through guest interaction, rule enforcement, incident response, and proactive patrols across the property. Security Attendants act as first responders to safety concerns, operational hazards, and guest assistance needs, ensuring that all park standards, policies, and legal requirements are upheld. By providing visible presence, clear communication, and exceptional customer service, the Security Attendant contributes directly to the overall safety, enjoyment, and smooth operation of the park. Key Responsibilities Serve as a front-line ambassador by delivering exceptional guest service while upholding park safety standards. Maintain full compliance with company uniform, conduct, training, and site-specific operational procedures. Conduct proactive patrols of park grounds, attractions areas, parking lots, and back of house zones to identify safety risks, security concerns, or operational hazards Respond promptly to incidents including guest altercations, medical emergencies, lost children, property damage, and operational safety concerns. Safely operate and maintain company issued vehicles; a validClass G driver''s licenseis required. Enforce park rules, municipal regulations, and property standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and employees. Perform scheduled and unscheduled walking patrols, detailed facility inspections, and equipment checks. Support parking operations including applying parking guidelines, tagging procedures, and assisting guests with inquiries. Assist with dispatch activities, including radio communication, alarm response, incident deployment, and coordination with onsite teams. Utilize park communication systems to relay accurate, clear, and timely information to leadership and responding departments. Prepare and submit detailed and professional incident reports, logs, and documentation in accordance with industry standards. Assist with emergency action plan execution, including evacuations, severe weather protocols, missingperson procedures, and medical responses. Collaborate with local law enforcement, EMS, fire services, and park leadership during complex or escalated incidents. Participate in ongoing refresher training in guest service, conflict management, emergency procedures, and deescalation techniques. Maintain awareness of surroundings using industry best practices such as ObserveAssessAct and behavioural detection techniques. Perform other duties as required to support park operations. Management may modify responsibilities due to emergencies, workload changes, staffing levels, or operational needs. Complete accurate reports including: Incident details Trespass documentation Daily activity summaries Shift logs Witness and employee statements Knowledge and application of the following legislation: Trespass to Property Act Criminal Code of Canada (Section 494) Mental Health Act Privacy and information security expectations Park policies and procedures Perform additional responsibilities as required to support departmental and park-wide operations. Qualifications Minimum age of 18 years of age or older Valid Ontario Security License Valid Smart Serve Certification Previous experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, military, or theme park operations is considered an asset Experience leading teams or shift operations strongly preferred Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
