Role Summary The Chief Estimator is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all estimating activities across the Triumph Group of Companies. This role ensures pricing accuracy, consistency, competitiveness, and risk alignment across multiple divisions including roofing, cladding, glazing, prefabrication, service, and manufacturing. The Chief Estimator establishes estimating standards, leads and mentors estimating teams, supports strategic pursuits, and acts as a key commercial partner to Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership. This role plays a critical part in driving profitable growth, bid discipline, and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Estimating Leadership & Governance Lead and oversee all estimating functions across Triumph''s divisions and business units. Establish standardized estimating procedures, templates, tools, and pricing methodologies. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and risk alignment in all bids, tenders, and negotiated proposals. Provide executive-level review and sign-off on major bids and strategic pursuits. Strategic Pricing & Risk Management Develop and maintain pricing strategies aligned with company margin targets and market conditions. Identify commercial risks, scope gaps, assumptions, and exclusions within estimates. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations to mitigate contractual and financial exposure. Support go/no-go bid decisions with data-driven analysis. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Sales, CRO Office, Operations, Project Management, and Manufacturing teams. Support pre-construction planning, value engineering, and alternative pricing strategies. Participate in executive reviews for large or complex projects. Assist in post-award handoffs to Operations to ensure estimate integrity. Team Development & Management Lead, mentor, and develop estimating managers, senior estimators, and junior estimators. Align estimator workload, specialization, and capacity planning across divisions. Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management of estimating staff. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement Oversee estimating software, databases, historical cost tracking, and benchmarking tools. Implement best practices for cost modeling, unit rates, and production assumptions. Analyze win/loss data to refine estimating strategies and improve bid success rates. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across estimating processes. Qualifications & Experience Required 10+ years of progressive estimating experience in construction or building envelope industries. 5+ years in a senior or leadership estimating role (Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager, or Chief Estimator). Strong experience with large-scale, multi-trade, or technically complex projects. Proven ability to manage multiple estimating teams across different business units. Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, labor, and risk management. Preferred Experience in roofing, cladding, glazing Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Proficiency with estimating software and ERP systems. Strong commercial acumen and executive-level communication skills.
