SEASONAL JOB OPPORTUNITY Job Title: Field Liner Position Type: Average hours per week Employment: April 1 3 July 3, 2026 Hourly Wage: Hourly $23 - $26 dependent on experience, plus mileage Positions Available: One (1) Excellent experience for someone interested in physical outdoor labour, parks management or for someone who simply enjoys the outdoors, a flexible work schedule, and working independently. Job Duties: Transport and set-up goals for 16 half field pitches one full day at the beginning and again at the end of the season with two assistants and a courier truck. Move half field goals out to various parks and anchor them down. If you have a couple assistants in mind that person can apply by contacting Stake out, measure, and line 80 mini pitches across the city prior to the start of the season April 25th, with one assistant. If you have an assistant in mind that person can apply by contacting Work independently with no supervision for the remainder of the employment term and maintain lines on roughly two full size pitches, 16 half size pitches, and 80 mini soccer pitches per week using a provided paint machine. Regular care, cleaning, and maintenance of the paint machine at the end of each day. Responsible for picking up paint from the soccer centre or selected paint company and submitting receipts. Enter worked hours daily into online timesheet and create your own schedule from Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM 5:00 PM, not exceeding 8hrs daily and 40hrs per week. Until April 23, hours can range from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Sunday as groups are not permitted on the fields yet afterwards, hours will need to be done by 4:00 PM Mon to Fri. Provide mileage forms and receipts on a weekly basis. Requirements: Grade 10 education Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and under all weather conditions as required by work assignments Six months experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of small gas operational motors (lawnmowers, weed wacker, hedge trimmer, etc.). Valid driver''s license and proper vehicle for transportation is required (ie: a vehicle with a hitch or one that can have a hitch attached such as a truck/SUV but a car that can have a hitch attached will suffice). Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the public. Knowledge of soccer field dimensions and city parks/fields locations would be an asset. No experience lining fields needed. Physical ability to perform the assigned duties. Ability to start Mon April 13, 2026 (dependent on snow and field conditions). Start-up Costs: Employee will be responsible for a hitch and hitch kit expense if they don''t already have one (roughly $100). Installment expense of hitch will be reimbursed and employee will keep the hitch at the end of the employment term. This must be completed and ready for the start of employment on April 14th.
