Yellow Dog Beverage Company is adding to our team We are an Energetic and Fun loving group with a passion for Craft Beer and are currently looking for a Full Time Production Specialist to join the team The Production Brewer Specialist is an enthusiastic, process-driven individual who plays a vital role in ensuring consistent and efficient beverage production operations. They take pride in creating high-quality beverages while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. As an integral part of the production operations team, they ensure the production area functions at peak performance and meets all targets. This role requires a proactive mindsetconstantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The Production Specialist should be comfortable troubleshooting equipment issues and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain smooth operations. Individual Job Tasks: GENERAL: Ability to run and operate our production system to produce beverages at a single location. Operate and manage the operation of packaging equipment at a single location. Work with urgency and detail without compromising safety and quality. Advocate for the YDBC brand. Fostering a strong culture and healthy work environment while embodying a passion for the products we produce. Assist with special projects as directed by management. PRODUCTION: Following recipes and procedures for producing beverages on a specific brewhouse at a home location. Milling in grain as per the recipe and process. Graining out and managing spent grain placement and disposal as per the process. Cleaning and Sanitizing of equipment after use according to the process. General maintenance of all brewing equipment as directed by production leadership. Keep detailed records while brewing that will include but not limited too (times, lot #''s and notes on brew sheets). Performing yeast counts to ensure yeast viability. Follow weekly and daily cleaning schedules. Manage boiler usage and make sure that there is enough hot water for the day. Complete pilot brews on an as needed basis for recipe trials. CELLARING: Perform daily checks on the products within the cellar to ensure familiarity and status of each. Cropping yeast for upcoming beer brews based on schedule and needs as per the process. Performing yeast counts on crops to ensure quality and viability. Dry hopping Beer as per the schedule and specifications Adding fruit and other additions to products as per the schedule and specifications. Tank CIPs as per the schedule and specifications. Transferring from FVs to BBTs using Centrifuge as per the schedule and specifications. Adding finings to completed products as per the schedule and specifications. Carbonating product as per the schedules and specifications. Keep detailed and accurate records while cellaring that will include but not limited too (Fermentation Logs and Tank Tracker) Follow all safety protocols while cellaring to ensure the safety of the individual and the team. Ensure a clean and tidy workspace while cellaring for safety and others use of the area. Follow weekly and daily cleaning schedules. Complete your daily work following all SOP to ensure accuracy. General maintenance of all cellaring equipment as directed by production leadership. PACKAGING: Package products into multiple formats including but not limited to cans, kegs and bottles. CIP/SIP of canning line before and after canning run. Switch the canning line between multiple sizes of cans based on the daily canning run split. Checking that product is carbonated and in specifications. Ensuring that all packaging materials are onsite for the packaging run. Performing basic maintenance on the canning line and other production equipment as needed. Operating canning line and managing pack off person to ensure that efficiency targets are met. Cleaning and Sanitizing of equipment after use according to the process. Cleaning packaging line area at the end of each run Moving and allocating kegs to needed locations based on packaging splits. ABOUT YOU: Brewing training or equivalent education. Brewery experience is an asset. Ability to lift kegs, grain and heavy objects multiple times daily. Serving it Right.
