Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a vibrant learning community offering home and online education to K-12 students throughout British Columbia. We are currently seeking Education Assistants to support students in their family homes during the 2025/2026 school year. Position Type: Independent Contractor | Part-time Locations: Campbell River, Salmon Arm, Prince George, Burns Lake, Fort St. John and Kelowna Hours : 6-20 hours/week (per community) Opportunity for additional hours in the 2026/27 school year Responsibilities: Provide academic support at K-6, 7-9 or 10-12 levels Coach executive functioning and self-regulation skills Foster the student''s social, spiritual, and academic growth Partner with parents and the Case Manager to create engaging, personalized learning experiences Help implement IEP goals in collaboration with the student''s broader support team Qualifications: Formal training or Education Assistant Certification (or equivalent experience working with diverse learners) Alignment with our Biblical Attributes and a lifestyle that reflects the KCCS Foundational Beliefs Understanding of ASD, ADHD, PDA, and other neurodiverse profiles Proficiency in Zoom, Google Workspace, and related technology Valid Class 5 driver''s license If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students through Christian education, we invite you to apply
