Job Title Accounting Associate- Accounts Receivable Specialist Part Time About the role Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Finance & Accounting department by performing full cycle accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner and performing routine clerical accounting duties adhering to established standards. The role requires strong administrative skills, effective communication, proactive thinking, planning, and prioritizing. What you''ll do Accounts Receivable Duties Initiate setup and credit checks on new customers and update existing customer records Transmit customer invoices via system email and process EDI invoices in applicable systems and customer platforms Daily entry, tracking and maintenance of sales transactions (revenue) and customer deductions (customer trade) into the accounting software Maintain accounts receivable aging and days sales outstanding through prompt follow-ups and collections Daily oversight and maintenance of accounts receivable email, including corresponding with customers promptly Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of reclass entries, sales tax computations, and reconciliation of accounts Assist and support finance manager with year-end audit requests About you You have 3 years of experience working in accounts receivable You have basic to intermediate accounting or bookkeeping experience You have intermediate to advanced level in MS Excel and other database tools You have experience in transmitting data via EDI systems You are a fast learner You demonstrate due diligence and accuracy with your work You have outstanding organizational skills You are a good problem solver and exceptional communicator You are reliable You hold yourself accountable and never lose track of follow ups or commitments Compensation: The Accounts Receivable Specialist position is offered on a part time, hourly basis. The role will begin with 30 hours per week, with a hybrid work location one day per week on-site.
