Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator with Welding Experience to join our warehouse and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts while also performing basic to intermediate welding tasks to support equipment repair, fabrication, and warehouse operations. This role requires strong attention to safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in maintaining smooth material flow and supporting operational efficiency. Duties Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials and products safely within the warehouse. Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas with accuracy and care. Perform basic welding tasks (MIG/Stick) for minor repairs, brackets, racks, and equipment support. Pick, pack, and prepare orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) for shipment. Conduct routine inspections of forklift and welding equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with inventory management, including organizing stock locations and performing cycle counts. Use basic math skills to verify quantities, measurements, and materials during order fulfillment. Perform heavy lifting and material handling safely as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety standards. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Valid forklift certification with hands-on experience using clamp trucks and order pickers. Welding experience (MIG/Stick preferred) with the ability to perform basic fabrication and repairs. Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). Strong understanding of inventory control and order picking processes. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Physically capable of lifting heavy loads throughout the shift. Strong commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail.
