This position plays a key role in future technology planning and ensuring that all solutions meet the hospital''s long-term goals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database management, HL7 standards, systems design, and development, and will provide expert consultation and innovative solutions to drive technological advancements across the organization. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Primary Focus: Design, configure, monitor, and support HL7 interfaces within the enterprise interface engine to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable system integrations. Tech Strategy & Consultation: Advise stakeholders on technology requirements, conduct business analysis, and ensure solutions align with Southlake''s Digital Strategy. Project Leadership: Lead technical aspects of IT projects, manage task tracking, and collaborate with teams to ensure successful execution and go-live activities. System Design & Development: Design, develop, and implement solutions using common technologies such as: MSSQL, HL7, C#, ASP.NET, MS PowerApps, and PowerShell scripting. Operational Support: Deliver ongoing system support, optimize performance, and mentor team members, with participation in on call support as required to ensure stable and reliable business operations. WHAT YOU BRING: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field ITIL Certification and/or Project Management certification preferred Two (2+) years of programming experience (IE: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript) At least 2 years of experience with HL7 interface engine programming for seamless data integration. Familiarity with FHIR technology. 1+ Years programming experience with APIs. Minimum of two (2) years of advanced experience in designing and developing reports using BI tools (Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SSRS, etc.). At least two (2) years of hands-on experience with SQL query writing and optimization. Strong proficiency with MSSQL products, with two (2+) years of practical experience. Experience with MEDITECH/HIS systems is a valuable asset. Strong proficiency in MS Office applications. Solid experience in customer consulting and providing tailored solutions. Proven ability to lead and coordinate small to medium-scale projects. Demonstrated customer service and technical support experience in clinical settings. In-depth understanding of ITIL best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities and a proactive approach to challenges. Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
