Key Account Manager - Intraocular Lenses Location: Halifax, Canada. The Account Manager is responsible for generating new business sales and profits in a specific territory, meeting annual sales plans, developing product knowledge, reporting weekly, and representing the company with highest standards. Responsibilities Attain or exceed yearly revenue and profit quotas for region of responsibility. Monitor & report sales activity, market & competitor situation. Schedule sales demonstrations to surgeons and training hospital staff. Educate and follow up surgeons on product utilization to ensure satisfaction. Establish and maintain good customer relationships. Develop and implement marketing approaches tailored to region. Assist market introductions and launches of new products. Maintain, analyze, and utilize territory records (SOM, CRM, AR, DSO). Provide accurate written and oral communications to management regarding sales plans. Develop synergy opportunities among Zeiss team and partners. Ensure all paperwork and requested information are furnished timely. Assist local sales administration with order processing and delivery. Review pending service jobs with Service team and offer assistance. Continuously adapt to change and participate in training on technology changes. Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, service and office personnel. Adhere to ISO 9001 processes and procedures. Represent and sell intraocular lenses and surgical consumables. Recommend and calculate IOLs to physicians, practices, and staff. Manage account consignment inventory. Be willing to visit USA and Germany for training. Abide by provincial and federal employment laws. Qualifications Four (4) years Bachelors degree in a science related discipline or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 2 - 5 years of strategic account management experience. Minimum 2 years of surgical/OR sales experience is preferred. Experience working with seniorlevel executives and influencing decisions. Exceptional negotiating and diplomacy skills. Ability to develop key account presentations. Experience in contract negotiation and development. Resourceful, creative, prioritizing solutions. Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong knowledge of ophthalmic products, particularly IOLs. Ability to work with customers in intense surgical environment. Excellent verbal, written, consultative, teaching, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork, coachability, selfmotivation. Proven track record of sustained sales success (top 20% sales rankings). Ability to handle difficult situations and deal effectively with personnel at all levels. Computer literacy (word, spreadsheet, database). Well organized and capable of working independently. Valid motor vehicle license. Provide support on key projects, including managing timelines and deliverables.
