Job Description

Stratford Region- Job Developer Location: Stratford Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week Weekends and Evening may be required. Employment Type: Full Time Number of Vacancies: 1 Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Deadline to Apply: December 19, 2025 Starting Annual Rate: $46,000 This role will help establish a new Employment Services program in the Stratford region and support our commitment to the community with quality employment support. Benefits All fulltime team members are entitled to 3 weeks of vacation and can earn more as length of service increases. Employees also receive 12 wellbeing days for sick time or proactive selfcare and bereavement days. Wellness program includes wellbeing days, an Employee Assistance Program, free YMCA membership for family, and discounts on programs and child care services. All fulltime employees can participate in a group pension plan after two consecutive years of employment and are matched 5% of gross earnings. After three years, participation is mandatory. Comprehensive health and dental benefits include prescription drugs, basic dental coverage, professional services such as massage therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, chiropractic, naturopathy, and vision care (after 3 months from start date). What you will do Develop contacts with local employers and serve as the initial point of contact for employers and a liaison between employers and Employment Coaches. Access and support the employment and job placement of clients accessing YMCA Employment Services. Ensure excellent customer service, communication, and professionalism to build strong relationships with employers, clients, and internal team members. Conduct triage, vet employers, and complete employer registration. Coordinate job postings and update the internal employer job board promptly. Support employer recruitment by identifying, contacting, and building relationships with prospective employers aligned with clients interests. Enter and upload accurate information in all required systems within 24 hours and maintain detailed case notes. Negotiate, track, and update expenditure of employer and client budgets. Support Employment Coaches and attend meetings representing the YMCA for case conferencing, professional development, and community engagement. Verify system accuracy, correct data incompatibility, and review outputs. Develop employment placements for clients, ensuring compliance with MTCU requirements. Coach and mentor clients and employers. Complete necessary client and employer placement documentation with Employment Coaches. Monitor placements through worksite visits and client progress tracking in collaboration with Employment Coaches. Promote services to employers to increase awareness and create placement opportunities. Participate in professional development and stay current with labor market trends. Active engagement in YMCA staff and networking meetings and attend workshops, training, conferences, and staff meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned. What you will bring Completion of a Post Secondary degree/diploma in Human Services. 2-3 years of experience in employment or social services. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Regular travel across the region; a valid G drivers license and fulltime vehicle access are strongly recommended. Acceptable Police Check.
