Applications are invited for the position of Director, Counselling in the Integrated Student Health Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus and Welland Campus. The salary range is $125,153 to $156,441 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary. Reporting to the Senior Director, Integrated Student Health, the Director, Counselling leads the development and continuous improvement of counselling services that widen access and inclusion to healthcare, and advance student success. Responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of counselling services for students, the incumbent collaborates with college leaders to advance equity, support student wellbeing, and guides mental health initiatives across the student life cycle. Using Stepped Care 2.0 , the Director partners across the organization to strengthen shared responsibility for student health and wellbeing, while attending to the unique needs of a diverse student population. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develops the college''s scope of care for supportive counselling to help students address immediate mental health concerns, while facilitating access to continuity of care with college and community partners and other service providers. Collaborates with other student service directors to design, establish and evaluate student success initiatives and improve outcomes for students receiving ongoing mental health supports, including developing frameworks to increase the range of support and care. Provides regular clinical supervision to counsellors providing care to students, using clinical expertise to make decisions relating to referrals, continuity of care, and recommendations relating to student enrolment. Partners with academic and service leaders in developing a college ecosystem for mental health flourishing; as well as maintaining professional partnerships within the community to provide continuity of care to students, including establishing integrated referral pathways and exploring new Stepped Care service options. Supporting the college''s commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, ensures that services and programs widen access to care for students from Indigenous, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ and other equity communities. Oversees the departmental budget, manages financial resources, leads budget planning, and submits all required Ministry, College, and Area reports, including data and performance metrics.
