Your Role In a Nutshell As the Fractional Director of Finance , you will act as a trusted financial leader for the executive team, overseeing all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial strategy on a part-time basis. This is a highly strategic, senior role with direct impact on business decisions, investor reporting, and organizational growth. You will bring executive-level expertise to optimize financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide actionable insights to drive scaling in a SaaS environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, intercompany reconciliations , and bank/credit card reconciliations. Provide executive oversight of full-cycle accounting , ensuring accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, month-end close, and consolidated financial reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and SaaS-specific financial reporting requirements. Manage year-end audits , serving as the main point of contact with external auditors. Oversee and optimize finance systems and tools such as QuickBooks Online, Ceridian, Float, ADP . Partner with the executive team to develop strategic financial plans, forecasting, and budgeting aligned with company growth objectives. Provide executive-level financial insights to support decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term scalability. Mentor and guide finance staff, instilling best practices, operational discipline, and high standards for accuracy and timeliness. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and financial efficiency across the business. Qualifications 10+ years of senior-level finance experience , ideally as a Controller, VP of Finance, FP&A leader, or equivalent. Proven executive-level leadership with experience guiding finance teams and influencing company-wide strategy. Deep experience in full-cycle accounting, AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting . Strong proficiency with cloud-based finance systems (QuickBooks Online, Ceridian, Float, ADP, or similar). Experience in high-growth SaaS or tech companies preferred. CPA designation preferred (CMA an asset). Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment .
