OverviewElectrical Engineering Technologist - CommercialWe have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Field Services Technician/Technologist to work within our Commercial Dept in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be accountable to work with project teams on electrical field projects; ultimately providing exceptional client experiences through commissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.AccountabilitiesWork safely and effectively on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments, including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, mining, pipeline and oil and gasCommissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, etc.Confidently work with various brands of test and troubleshooting equipmentWork with project teams effectively through collaboration, support, and team focusEnsure safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fosteredEnsure completion of technical reports and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completeness of workAbility to interact with clients in a courteous and professional mannerIdentify and implement process improvementsVarious other duties as requiredQualificationsMUST have an Electrical Engineering Degree, PSE (Power Systems Electrician) or Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma1-4 year of hands-on field experience commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, transformers requiredKnowledge in commercial, industrial and utility environmentsExperience working within teamsSelf-motivated, self-managed, flexible and drivenProficient computer experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong problem solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionExcellent time management skills with an attention to detailThe ability to work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and statutory holidaysMust have a valid drivers licenseAbility and willingness to travel and to be out of town frequentlyTeam player with excellent communication skills both written and verbalA positive, can-do attitudeCompany OverviewBacked by over 100 years of combined experience, Sunbelt Solomon offers an unmatched ability to provide comprehensive, configured solutions for utility, industrial, and commercial applications.
